Round wooden surface painting

Finished a painting that's painted on a round wooden surface, which is new for me, since I'm am used to boxed canvas. Have found I really like the smooth surface the wood gives, so will try some more on wood for sure :) I really like the rimu wood surround, finishes it off well.

Sorry about not posting lately, but have been a real slack ass. I have moved onto to few new projects since last post, and have finished one, but not the any of the ones on the blog site.

Painting for sister

Hi all, have started another one instead of working on the one I posted before. This work will explore the idea of one space, but with different times of the day, from dawn to dusk. This is just the ground colour to then start layer the lighter tones on top, will add clouds that move in and out of each panel, to give a surreal look. This is a present for my sister, she's been waiting a while for one of my painting, its a wedding present and birthday present all in one from last year! So sis I have finally started it, hehe.

Here's the start of a three panel work, I know its bright, but its just the first layer, will be layering blues on top. The hills are in the shape of the port hills here in chch.

Floor Panel Finished!!

Have finished the floor panel, great now I can start the million other paintings I need to start/finish! Boat has turned out better than I thought it would.

Hey there, well look here they are, finaly arrived today. I'm really happy with the way the colours turned . Just paid for them too, ouch!! So I better sell heaps of them aye!

My paintings on ceramic tiles

I was approached by a new business, called Naturally Gifted, who manufacture art tiles. They sent me a sample, and it looks really good, great clear image, correct colours and a nice finnish to it. I have ordered about 16 different images, to see how they sell and what siutes it best. Will upload some of the other tile images when the shipment arrives.

My first post!

hello to all you people who have found my blog. I am just testing the waters at the mo, so will see how this goes.

Here's a painting I did at the end of last year. I'm wanting to do some more works like this one above. I want to add a more round, swirly look to my work. This is the direction my paintings will be going, I guess its like I'm putting a new spin to my work. *ha ha* I know, not funny.
